We do mathematics together
iMathLab runs small research projects in which young math enthusiasts work on open problems together with research mentors. Projects are open to students anywhere in the world, and they run online in a private forum where members discuss ideas and write mathematics in LaTeX.
The field of each project is public; its questions and progress stay private to its members until the results are written up.

Research Mentors: Felix Gotti and Harold Polo.

Step 1
Workshop
An opening workshop of six meetings covers the theory the project needs, with exercises after each meeting.
Step 2
Oral evaluations
Each accepted student has four short conversations with the mentors about that theory. Passing them makes the student a collaborator.
Step 3
Research
Collaborators work on the project's open problems with the research and assistant mentors, discussing ideas and submitting solutions. Projects aim at a paper; authorship follows the contributions made.
